We've been having increasingly more fall-like days around here, and today my Italian teacher officially declared the arrival of autumn! It's only in the 60s, with a nice breeze, and lots of sunshine. I love everything about it!
And since this is my favorite season, it's not surprising that I have boxes full of fall decor which I was perhaps a bit too eager to unpack last week (but if Starbucks is selling the Pumpkin Spice Latte, then my scarecrows are coming out too). Here are a few pictures of how fall has settled into our home!

Here's an overview of our living/dining areas, with Douglas posing for the camera. And um...the mini grill is not a permanent fixture, but it is a tailgating necessity. |

I'm really happy with how the mantle looks. My goal was to have varying heights that gave the illusion of symmetry without being too strictly placed. I also love lanterns, and I managed to get THREE on my mantle! =) PS: The drawing of Rome was done by my brother Steven. |

For the dining room table, I decided to layer two runners: a rustic burlap runner from Pottery Barn and an autumn themed runner that I got for $5 at Home Goods. I have those leaf napkins in both green and orange, and have had those mini pumpkins for so long that I can't remember where they came from! Unfortunately, one of Dougie's favorite things to do is knock them off the table and bat them around the house. |

More fake fall flowers (no real ones because of the Doug) in a $2 tin vase from AC Moore. I made the menu board to plan our meals for the week. Then I updated a cheap Target storage tower with nice baskets to hold kitchen and dining room linens, as well as extra candles. |

Not sure where to put this yet, but the sign needed to be out. |
So that's it for now! Happy fall y'all!
