5 Things: June is French Country Month!

Happy June! It feels like summer is officially here now. This month, my 5 things have a French country theme!

1. French blue ticking cloth: The simple look of this striped fabric (often in linen or in a thicker burlap style) is perfect for summer. I've seen a lot of tablecloths with this pattern costing nearly $100! Buy similar fabric and make your own for less!

2. Burlap/Feed-sack Pillows: I love the natural and textured look and feel of these. I contemplated making my own, but really love the designs by this seller on Etsy. How cute is the little bird?

$25 for this monogrammed pillow

3. Roosters: This rooster basket is on sale for 50% off at Joann Fabrics. They are typically used to hold eggs (or simply used decoratively), but I would use it to hold fruit or line it to hold biscuits!
Only $9.99!

4. Wooden cutlery: A great Eco-friendly alternative to plastic! Available from ecowareproducts.com!

5. Vintage milk bottles: I bought mine for $8.99 at Sur La Table! It holds about a 1/4 gallon of milk.  In addition to storing milk it can hold flowers or simply be decorative.
