Becoming Rustic Country

Awhile back, I logged onto HGTV.com and took a survey to determine my personal design style. The results came back as "rustic country". Add a French twist in there, and I think you've just about got it. Since our wedding in May and our move from Michigan in August, I've enjoyed being a wife and setting up our home together. As newlyweds just starting out, the budget is limited, but I have found that inexpensive pieces, when placed correctly, can really add to the style of a room. I am inspired by Sarah's House, Pottery Barn catalogs, and by French and Italian country scenes (I work as a French teacher, and married into an Italian family, so it also has a personal connection for me!).  This blog is intended to showcase my journey of, piece by piece, becoming rustic country! I will share my favorite (typically cheap) finds and my favorite ideas. Thank you for reading!
